India's domestic network roughly doubled in a decade in city pairs flown, and cities served rose by more than half. The chart counts routes and cities and does not show what drove the growth.
What this shows: The chart covers 2016 to 2025. It plots Cities served and Routes (city pairs) on a vertical axis of Count. Latest values: Cities served 122; Routes (city pairs) 663.
Conditions and method
A route is a city pair with more than 1,000 passengers in the year, with the airports of one city counted together. The charts use 9 observed years (2016 to 2025). 2019 is missing from the source. 2015 and 2026 have fewer than 11 months and are left out. With so few points the charts describe the series and test no trend.
